Marcelo Prais is the Executive Advisor to the Planning Board at the National Electric System Operator, where he brings more than 40 years of experience in Brazil’s energy sector. He has held senior leadership positions across operations, planning, information technology, and regulatory affairs.

Marcelo joined ONS in 2000 and has since guided strategy in digital transformation, market regulation, and agent relations. His expertise continues to shape national electricity system planning and support the delivery of secure and reliable power.
